Members gathered at the Eel River Town Gardens Saturday morning and then it
was off north to the 19th annual "Welcome to My Garden Tour" in Marshall
Michigan. On the way the participants stopped at Bob Evans for a big
breakfast. Six gardens were featured on the tour this year: The
Overhisers featured hundreds of hostas; the Gianuzio's was the home to
wildflowers; the Rector's was famous as a "perennials only" landscape;
the Winnie garden had unique trees and edible fruit; the Zalewski
garden inspired a cottage-style, Victorian atmosphere, and the Riggs
featured a Colonial-type landscape featuring thousands of reclaimed bricks.
