Herbs
in the Garden

We met at the Blocker Room in the Library for the second of the four March Into Spring series kicking-off a new gardening season. One of our new Master Gardeners, Danna, covered everything about herbs including, flowering, foliage, fragrance, medicinal uses, and of course, seasoning. There were many guests in attendance expressing an interest in becoming MGC members.
The topic of Herbs generated great interest from many "first-timers"
Attendees eagerly butter-up bagel bits with various spreads seasoned with different fresh herbs. Coffee was provided by the library.
Many dried and potted herbs were available for "petting" and sniffing. Much to everyone's delight, Bob graciously cut rosemary branches from his plant for those who were interested in taking some home to season chicken or pork.
