We looked through various plant catalogs and divided up into groups to design a garden based on some plants that we saw.

Hydrangeas

Ft. Wayne Master Gardener, Sandra Stackhouse, told us everything we wanted to know about Hydrangeas, PH of soil, how to propagate with a brick, and covering with EReemay

Container Gardens

Mary Ann showed us some container tricks, like adding hydration pellets and placing lightweight materials in the bottom of containers.

Building Birdhouses

Ron Eberly brought in his apron and electric drill and built several wren houses out of aged barn siding.

Garden Work

After eating breakfast the Linda brought from Hardee's we pulled lots of weeds and added more plants

Gardening

We did a Plant Scavenger Hunt and munched on great snacks.

Tree Farming

We learned a lot about pruning trees.  Later we sat around the fire kettle and ate hot dogs and lots of goodies.
